I have been taking MAP tests for about five years now. For two weeks of the year we all suffer. I really dislike the map tests in many ways. The ting I dislike the most is that there is no possible way to study for this things. It is also very annoying to stare at a blue monitor for an hour. After twenty minutes I start getting headaches that don't let me concentrate! The map testing weeks are the worst weeks of the year after the quarter exams. You may like them but just don't!

MAP tests do affect our lives though. It helps the teachers see our understanding of different subjects. It also tells them if you have improved or not from the last test. That's why it is called Measure of Academic Progress (MAP). So all of this does have a good side after all. You are probably thinking all of this information is unnecessary. Well, you are wrong. For example, you get a very poor grade on one of the MAP tests (let's say math). They will probably assign you a tutor to help you understand and improve on the subject. So that means you better stop guessing!

There are a great amount of things I would change. First, I would make it so that the teachers give us a sort of study guide so that we know what to expect from the test. Maybe I would also change the background color to prevent the headaches. Thats pretty much all i want to change.

Social Networking

I use networking in many, MANY ways. First of all there is the old boring myspace and Facebook. I mainly use them to talk to my friends of just be nosy watching peoples photos. Even though they are very popular and "harmless" there is a dangerous side to them. There are so many sick perverts and pedophiles who are just looking for a good time. The worst part is that they put fake names and photos in your account so instead of adding your uncle as a friend you are adding a rapist! I also use many other social networks. For example, I also use vampirefreaks.com which is a place where metal bands create profiles to promote their music. Many now famous metal bands when discovered there.

Social networking is starting to affect how we work in school. Our teachers are using moodle.com for many things. Actually the student council elections were in moodle. We are also using well....what I am using now, Blogger.com. We also used goodreads.com but that was fairly short. More and more education is starting to base itself in social networking.

I think that instead of not letting us use Facebook and myspace they should teach use how to use it correctly. I mean, we are gonna use them back in are houses anyway so why not! Maybe they can even teach us to protect owerselves from pedophiles or pervs (yes I know they are the same thing) and how to use it wisely to our advantage. They should seriously consider this becouse social networking is taking over the world!

I am expecting to use this blog to just post what ever random stuff is in my mind. I solved todays problem by simply asking for peoples blog on facebook. Some poeple I didnt have as frinds so I had to add them then ask.
